Yes. PlantPlots is a fully remote, online garden design service operating across the UK and internationally. We create custom design layouts, 3D visuals, and planting blueprints from your photographs and measurements. We do not handle the physical build or digging, giving you total control over your budget and timeline. You can complete the garden yourself over time or hand the plans to a local landscaper to build for you.

Remote garden design is highly affordable because it eliminates expensive on-site surveys. At PlantPlots, a custom design layout and comprehensive report for an average-sized back garden starts from £985 (larger spaces cost more). If you only need a specific border planting plan or structural layout, pprices range from approximately £185 to £600. We also offer 1-hour video consultation calls for £99 to that help you create a design for your garden.

You send photographs of your garden alongside basic measurements, and we discuss your goals. We review initial layout sketches together so you are fully involved in the creative process. Once the final layout is agreed upon, we email a comprehensive digital design report. This includes 3D pictures of the new garden, a scale diagram, exact planting plans, full details of the plants to use, and actionable aftercare advice.

Yes. While PlantPlots is based in the UK, our design service is fully digital, allowing us to design gardens anywhere in the world. We have successfully created remote garden designs for clients across the USA, and Europe and even Australia and New Zealand! Good garden design principles are universal, and we source plant varieties that thrive in your specific local climate.

No garden space is too small. PlantPlots creates bespoke planting plans for single borders, small courtyard gardens, or specific problem areas. If you like your current layout but want a planting upgrade, we offer dedicated border design templates, including our “MiniPlots” for spaces under 1 square metre and our “Fab Fronts” range tailored specifically for front garden borders.

We specialise in low-maintenance, functional gardens designed around your lifestyle, whether you need a calm, soothing space or a vibrant family garden. Crucially, our designs ensure your garden looks good and does good. We prioritise bird, bee, and butterfly friendly plants to support local wildlife and ensure your outdoor space actively contributes to the local ecosystem.

You are completely free to source your plants from wherever you choose. PlantPlots selects plant varieties that are readily available at most standard local garden centres or easily ordered as seeds, bulbs, and shrubs online. This allows you to shop around, use your favourite local nurseries or source plants at plant fairs. The key point being, you control your plant buying budget

On average, a custom PlantPlots design takes 2 to 3 weeks to complete, depending on the season. Because you are structurally involved in reviewing the initial sketches, minor alterations are easily ironed out before final delivery. If you require tweaks to the completed report, we happily accommodate minor adjustments to ensure you love your final design.  Should there be a need to make major changes after the initial design layout has been agreed, that require redrawing the design, there is an additional charge. This would be agreed prior to any new work taking place.
