The common little poppies are lovely, pretty, dainty and not very long lasting – so to survive they are extremely efficient at self seeding. Aided and abetted by us who love their little pepper pot seed shakers.
So if you plant poppies, you get lot’s of poppies – you decide if that’s a problem in your garden or not!
Incidentally – to limit the spread, cut the poppy seedheads off before they ripen.
We haven’t used any of theses in any of our small garden designs yet, can’t think why. We’ll have to do some then.
