Emilia Sonchifolia ‘Scarlet Magic’:
You don’t need big flowers to make an impact, but many of you will probably not have heard of Emilia. It’s a nondescript sort of plant, in the sense that it is small, fits in amongst others and you don’t really notice the foliage, but it has the most intense coloured red and orange flowers.
The nice thing about emilia is that you can buy and sow it as seed, which is a really cheap way to add some splash of colour to the garden. You will need to probably resow seed each year for a while to get it established, but once done, you will have teeny tiny balls of vivid fluff to enjoy in the summer!
