Cherry Laurel; Prunus Cerasus:
As you can see from the picture, it’s not a good small garden plants. Very little will be able to grow near it, and certainly nothing under the canopy and it will quickly blot out your sunshine. It also has fruits in Autumn, which if not eaten (thinks lots of purple bird poo), will drop all over your garden.
We haven’t used Prunus in any of our small garden designs – but we do use lots of other plants that are much better (we think).
