There is a ‘garden’ version of bindweed – it has pretty flowers so you may be tempted to buy one. DON’T – it behaves just like bindweed! A pain to get rid of, tangling everything and not worth having. It’s just too much aggravation for most gardens, unless you grow it in an industrial strength pot and you really really love the flowers.
We haven’t used Calystegia in any of our small garden designs – but we do use lots of other plants that are much better (we think).
