This Allium takes up about as much space as a drinking straw, but it does go everywhere.
It is a bit of a marmite type of plant – in that you either love it or hate it, it’s not a pretty flower – but it’s a talking point. This Allium though is particularly susceptible to fungal rust. So once the Allium’s develop the rust, because you will have loads of them, they are difficult to get rid of.
We haven’t used this Allium in any of our small garden designs – but we do use lots of other plants that are much better (we think).
