Parthenocissus; Virginia Creeper:
This is the one that turns brilliant red in autumn and then drops all it’s leaves.
So if you hate leaf raking, not a good idea to buy one and secondly they will grow up to 50-60ft, and generally much too large for your average house wall. If you buy one, you spend many weekends hanging out of the bathroom window pulling tendrils off the window frames and gutters.
We haven’t used it in any of our small garden designs – but we do use lots of other plants that are much better (we think).
